I became interested in purchasing an electric SUV from Alibaba.I sourced the vehicle that I needed and was given the price including shipping. A proforma invoice was sent to me and I paid by wire transfer. It was a little odd that the transfer did not go through and I was sent a second account and transfer was accepted.
On Monday I messaged the Rep to find out he had received the transfer and he answered in the affirmative. He then asked me if I had received a message from the shipping company and I said no.With no prior hint of duties and insurance, he now wants me to remit USD 18.000 .more than.
the actual combined cost for the vehicle and shipping. I do not have that extra money now but I am fearful that this might be a scam. What I am seeking is a refund of my money and the rep us telling me that the car incredibly is on a port in Japan ready to be shipped and will soon incur penalty charges if it is not shipped.

All American CJD San Angelo, Tx
March 25, 2024 I went in to look at cars, it was about 12 am. I went to All American CJD on Sherwood way, referred by my daughter.
I went in to look at cars, to see if I could find one in my budget. I am driving a 2016 Volvo XC60 T5 PR, with only 75000 mile. I told him that I wanted to look I around and see if something in my budget, he continued on pointed to 2 used vehicles, neither were what I was shopping for, then told him I was looking for something similar to a Lincoln MKZ, I had owned on previously a 2016, and enjoyed it very much. Told him I wanted to spend maybe 10,000, keep my payments to about the same $317.00 mo.
if I could find something. He tells me to move to a parking spot and come in. Makes a few notes, then leaves, and I sit for over 30 Mins. He comes back says he found a car, I but can't find the keys, and asks for my keys so someone can check out my Volvo, and leaves me sitting again., I told him I was hungry and wanted to go eat, He said hold on a minute, then I ask him how long he had worked there..
His response "only since November". and he left me sitting again. Getting very agitated. I asked another employee to see i I could get my keys back, then some upper management person, in a pink shirt (no name) but he had a hoarse sounding voice.came to me said the salesman was getting the keys to a 2020 Nissan Altima ta basic vehicle.
Wanted me to test drive it. I go out to drive it, and it is sitting on empty. so I drove it in the parking lot. parked it went in, he left me again, Then he came out with a piece of paper with some scribbling and numbers on.
Altima Only $19995 sale price after discount. Giving 8500 trade *Congrats* no negiative equity. Absolutely $0 down today 75 month term @ $480 mo. ans asked me to sign in.
Very pissed off, tI jumped up and told him I wanted my keys, the new salesman had not listened to word I said, in the very beginning. Older gentlemen said some one was driving my volvo, and went back into his little office asked me to be patient. , He said they would take care of it, then comes back out and had that piece of paper with $16883 sales price, 75 month/$330's and still no down + 45 days till 1st payment due. I spent over 4 hrs dealing with this place.
Went into David Dryers office, telling me lets get this done, kept saying I need to think about this, he said why did I need t, I told him I was still hungry, was more interested in a better car, explained again about a Lincoln MKZ , kept saying not sure. Kept saying no, they why, and because being so stressed, and I really don't know why the crap I did. I was put through aloit of stress, at 66 years, I feel like I was taken advantage of, by confussing me, knowing I had been there several hours and still had not eaten. All the while now they only offered me $8500 and I was so caught up in the sales vehicle price, I really didn't get to voice how the trade in amount was not right.
I had a 2016 Volvo XC60 T5 PR, with only 75000 miles on it.
a Salesman, Issac ( I think) started approaching my vehicle as I pull into the dealership lot, I barely stopped my vehicle. He asked how he could help me? I am in the entrance, no further. I told him I had a salesman name, but he did not listen... I told him That I wanted to lok at something in my budget, he continued on pointed to 2 used vehicles, neither were what I was shopping, then told him I was looking for something similar to a Lincoln MKZ, I had owned on previously and enjoyed it very much.

He says Oh lets hurry up, I was more interested in a Better car, My Volvo was top of the line T5, explained again about a Lincoln MKZ , kept saying not sure. Kept saying no, they why, what you got to think about, I felt pressured, Here I am a 66 year old woman, came in by myself.
and just wanted to look at a different vehicle. I really not sure how I was put in this situation, but I was so stressed, my anxiety was sky high., and I really don't know why the crap I did. I drove off the lot and service engine came on, I turned around and went back to the dealership, and being told dont worry it wont hurt the vehicle, said he would order a part for it and call me next week,
I had not heard from the dealership, so on April 2, 2024, I took the car to the dealerships shop and wanted something done. This was not right. The man that did the finance paperwork was not in, so Im asked for someone with authority, I spoke with a manager named Younger, I am in tears now. Told him what was going on, about the service engin light and asked him what he could do to help me get out of this vehicle, something elseI told him wh)at was going on, I told him this isnt right, I just got the vehicle.
He made sure to advise me my Volvo was sold.I (GM had not received payoff yet) just wanted something done. He said he couldnt help me get another vehicle right now, he would have to look around. I have excellent credit, and I want to surrender the vehicle. I worked very hard to get where I am.
With my credit. Im on a social security, disabled and trying to keep my bills all paid and on time. Then I told him I couldnt afford the insurance I was being quoted so that was against legal to drive. He told me to get a job delivering food, said my mother is disabled and shes doing it Where does he get off telling me to get a job.
He was so far out of line, He was no help at all, then goes to talk to someone, comes back said he had a car I could use while mine is being serviced, A Blue Dodge Challenger, theme I waited for paperwork to sign, and was told they would get the part fix the car. I am scared to drive a powerful vehicle. I used the vehicle very little, then on a Saturday April 13th went to get in it, and it wouldnt start. Lucky I called the service department before they closed.
Mechanic came out messed with it, had a battery charger. Then called in and was told to bering the vehicle back it, and to make sure he locked the Jeep Cherokee. In about an hour he brought out a White Dodge Charger, I was surprised, but thanked him. I had a few errands to run.
Now because the challenger had a half tank of gas, I needed the Charger to be returned with ¼ tank of gas. Another powerful vehicle.
On April 17th I finally get a call from service dept, my car is ready 2 weeks later.. I return the Charger, and went to my vehicle, and noticed the my tags were not on the vehicle, While I was in for service, that my tags were ready to pick up. I told him it was in service.
So I have to go inside and find someone to help me. I also ask to speak to Mr Younger, was advised he was in a meeting, so I left my number and ask if he could call me. I have not heard from him. Well the front license plate did not line up with the holes where she removed 2 large bolts, she went in to service then came out and said, Im going to need to zip tie my plates on.
Told her no thanks. She goes in and a large man comes out and said we are going to have to order a bracket. I leave, go home, well dont drive much, ran to the store on Saturday. I dont get in the car again until Wednesday, I had to go to UPS and to dinner at my daughters. When I came out of UPS, I noticed my front right bumper was almost dragging the ground.
I looked where the girl at dealership took out the bolts. Im sure that it has been in a front end collision, this was a cover up, I took it back to the service, and told them to do something. I left the vehicle there with Key. .
Now I was contacted by email by Driveway offering to buy my Nissan for $8500.
A week after I got it. I hadnt even gotten any paperwork yet for the financing, which is being financed by Driveway. Oh my gosh $18978. It was supposedly dropped to alot lower.
My information was sold, Driveway should not have my information before the paperwork was done. And Im still getting messages from them.
Please HELP me! I am not asking for a hand out.

Poor service experience
Went and got my oil changed at Lithia Grants Pass last Saturday, which took 2 hours in spite of having an appointment set for 10:10am. Drove home to Brookings and parked it as I carpool.
When I used my car yesterday (Tuesday) it was leaking oil. Not happy at all. Took it to our local mechanic and the plug wasn't tightened as well as the wiper fluid wasn't filled, as is part of the lifetime service agreement I paid big bucks for. I will never return to Lithia Grants Pass for service again.
I will make the extra trip to Medford in the future. Thank you Lithia Grants Pass for almost ruining my car.
Received a comment from the service manager Shane Roberts, with a number to call, number is now disconnected. Since I cannot trust the service center closest to me with my car, I'd like the service contract removed and refunded.

Lithia bought serval local dealerships in the Western PA Region and many that I know, including myself that have tried to buy from these once family held dealerships have faced much higher pricing, ignorant/aggressive sales tactics and poor service. I hope that the families that sold these local dealerships made a killing because it's their names that are still on the signage and Lithia is now destroying their reputations. Buy elsewhere.

I bought my car with a life time prepaid oil change plan. For the second time the service department has vandalized my car to try to sell additional service.
Management doesn't care. Basically a too big company that is not only too big to fail, but too big to follow the law or be ethical

Verified Reviewer | Sully, VirginiaHorrible maintenance service experience
Lithia Motors and their dealerships have no respect to their customers they don't respond to our emails or calls.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Priority Nissan of Chantilly and feel compelled to share my story to warn others. I had an oil change service appointment last December, covered under my "Priorities for Life Rewards" program.
However, what followed was a nightmare.
In early March, my car's "check engine" light came on, and upon inspection, it was discovered that the oil drain plug was missing. The subsequent oil leak led to catastrophic engine failure and irreparable damage, necessitating the replacement of the entire engine. Shockingly, the diagnostics revealed that the check engine light had never come on before March 4, indicating that the issue arose after my dealership visit.
I have spoken with the service manager and the dealership manager, but they all refused to help me. Despite clear evidence implicating their negligence, Priority Nissan of Chantilly's service department refused to acknowledge their mistake or take responsibility.
Even my attempts to escalate the matter to the general manager, Mr. Tony Moorehead, proved futile as he, too, denied any fault on their part.
Left with no other option, I had to seek repairs from a private mechanic, incurring significant expenses, including rental car fees. It is unacceptable that the dealership failed to honor its commitment to customer satisfaction, especially considering the "Lifetime Engine Loyalty Certificate" issued to me upon purchase.
I hired an attorney for a demand letter to settle the cost I paid for car repair, which was $7300.
However, the dealership offered me only $1000, and after receiving the offer, they raised it to $1500!!!
I rejected their offer and prepared a lawsuit, and we will see each other again in court.
I strongly advise potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with Priority Nissan of Chantilly. Their lack of accountability and disregard for customer concerns make them an unreliable choice for automotive services.

My husband scheduled a repair to a broken side mirror and to replace the gas cap which had been lost. They replaced the gas cap but also charged a 50 dollar attachment fee.
They are the only dealer in town so he felt stuck. The mirror could only be partially replaced, and they indicated they needed to order another part. He paid the exorbitant fee for the part and then started a multi month journey where he would call, and they would either say they had no record of him or that their records showed it was already done.
He had to show then the tape/clips they used for the repair and his receipts. This went on for more than 5 months.
- Overpriced and poor service
Preferred solution: I would like the overcharges refunded and an indication they have done training so others don’t face this.

Verified Reviewer | Wesley Chapel, FloridaWORST EXPERIENCE IN OVER 60 YEARS OF BUYING VEHICLES!
Going back to July 2020...we traded two Hondas for a new CR-V at Wesley Chapel Honda in Wesley Chapel Florida since we no longer needed two cars. After some negotiating, we unfortunately agreed to a deal that added a bunch of markups...paint protection, nitrogen in tires, pin stripes, and I forgot what else.
These are items not listed next to the Monroney label (unlike Ocean Honda that at least lets you know up front about these add-ons). We were stuck at the dealer much of the day...my guess is that wanted to tire out a couple of senior citizens so we would agree to anything. When we got to finance, I made it very clear I did NOT want the warranty protection. I was told it would not be added.
When we got home and I studied that paperwork a bit more careful, there it was...in code...the warranty add-on that added over $2000.00 to the price. Of course, we paid a bunch of money for the pin striping and, to this day, never received the pin striping nor did we get a refund.
As to the paint protection, we paid an amount that I found out later was way over what is normal for the ceramic protection. The company that made the ceramic protectant was ECP. We got a little decal affixed over another decal on the window.
I noted on the ECP website that the protectant had a written warranty, which we never got. I returned to the dealer to get the Monroney label that, by law, they should have given us, but didn't. When I was there, I asked the Sales Manager about the ECP warranty. He told me that it was not included and I would have to pay for it!
This was unbelievable! I contacted ECP and told them what happened. They sent me the warranty and advised me that they would send someone to the dealer to retrain them.
We had two years free maintenance, however, because this was the worst experience I have ever had in over 60 years of purchasing vehicles, I chose not to trust my Honda to Wesley Chapel Honda. I take my CR-V to Ocean Honda, where I wished I would have bought it in the first place.
It's been nearly four years and I love our CR-V, despite where I bought it.
I am again reminded of what a horrible dealer Wesley Chapel Honda is. A few months ago, I received...or should. say, my Mother received an offer at my address with a voucher worth...now get this...$8788.00 off the purchase of any vehicle in stock. Further, they said your trade in will get you "up to" 100% of your car's original MSRP price.
Wow! Sounds like they're giving cars away and paying you money to take them! Of course, the ad is only good on a certain weekend. I...uh...I mean she...received the offer a day after it was good!
So, what did my Mother think about this?
Well, first...she never lived in Florida. Second, she's been dead nearly 15 years!
Again...the worst car dealer...EVER!

Verified Reviewer | West Sacramento, CaliforniaI was sold a used vehicle with suspension issues. After 4 attempts to fix and 5th time failing. I can't even give the hevicke back. If you buy a vehicle from these people. Don't buy used!! Lies
I was sold a vehicle with suspension issues. This was known when they made the sale.
And they stated they would fix the vehicle. But now they won't. They shouldn't of even sold the vehicle to anyone before they knew what the inspection stated. Instead, they just wanted to make a sale and sold me an unsafe and consistently breaking vehicle.
Suspension problems shouldn't be taken lightly. And they couldn't care less. Band-aid after band-aid and the issue persists because they don't want to pay out the money to repair the vehicle, properly. And that's disgusting.
They made a mistake selling something, and they won't cop up to it. Or make it right. Just take it back and get it off my credit!! It's more pain than it's worth.
And male sure you don't have Lance get your vehicle serviced.
He's a clown and doesn't care about anything but his bottom line or an up sale. ***

The worst customer service
On February 25, 2024, I bought a 2021 RAV 4 from El Doral Volkswagen. I was charged $400 for a tag transfer (which should ONLY cost about $200), and the car registration was never sent to my home.
After 20 days from the day of the purchase, the tag transfer was not done.
I called the tax collector, and there was nothing submitted for the transfer of the tag from my old car to the new one.
Then, I called the salesman, Fidel.
He said he would call me back, but he never did. Then Fidel did not answer the phone anymore.
I also called El Doral Volkswagen to ask for Ruben, who handled our financial transaction, but nobody answered me there either. I was sent several times to voice-mail.
After various attempts, somebody answered the phone and told me that there was nobody there to address my situation. This person said that I need to go back to dealer in Miami.
So drove all the way to El Doral to get my registration. The dealer is one hour away from my home.
I met with Alejandro Bartoli. When he handed me the car registration, I realized that the reason I never got it was because the dealer had registered the car with their address. They had the registration in their posetion all the time, but they never called me to let me know that they had it.
Alejandro Bartoli told me that he will correct the mistake , and that my registration will be sent to my home the following day.
That never happened. Its been more than a month since then, and I haven't received anything.
I called endlless times and left several messages. Nobody responded. They are the worst dealer ever.
Eventually, I contacted the DMV, and I had to do everything because they never did their job.
The problem I have now is that I attempted to get the title of my car, but the DMV would not send it to me because apparently somebody else has already printed the tittle.
I don't know where my car tittle is.
These people in El Doral Volkswagen do not know how to do their job or they are trying to scam me. Either way I regret buying a car from them. Dealing with them has been a nightmare.
Never buy any car in this dealer. It is by far the worst car buying experience I have ever had in 30 years since I bought my first car.
Stay away! All the people I had to deal there have been careless and deceiving. They have been evasive, unhelpful, disrespectful with my time and very dismissive with my concerns.
Their behavior has been unprofessional and uncaring. They have no customer service skills.
I am very disappointed on the way El Doral Volkswagen and its employees for the way they handled my business.
Nobody takes responsibility there. They treat their customers like trash.
